SPEAG proudly presents DASY83D, an effective and modular combination of DASY8 and cSAR3D that retains all the benefits of the DASY8 Modules and cSAR3D and enables versatile and precise automated testing.
In 2018, SPEAG released cSAR3D-A, our first system for automated specific absorption rate (SAR) testing, which was loved by our customers, but proved not to be modular and versatile enough to quickly adopt to the testing needs created by new exposure control features combining time-averaged SAR, proximity and motion sensors.
SPEAG did not shy away from the major effort of starting from scratch, and completely redesigned the cSAR3D-A system using all the technologies developed in-house in the meantime, such as the modularity of the DASY8 Modules and our Jupyter Notebook-based solutions. The focus was on maximizing precision and providing an easy-to-use user interface that allows user-defined testing protocols.
The result is DASY83D.
DASY83D is modular in hardware and software – any DASY8 and cSAR3D system can be upgraded to DASY83D. The software is based on the new DASY8 Module c3D V1.0 and the Jupyter Notebook DASY83D, and interacts with cSAR3D via its advanced application programming interfaces. The first version of the DASY83D software is still limited, but already has several important test functionalities and features:
Precision of device positioning on the cSAR3D phantoms of 0.1 mm and 0.1º;
Speed through automation without compromising measurement accuracy;
Reduced operator errors;
Accurate evaluation of SAR distance and position dependence, including proximity sensors.
In the coming months, SPEAG will add many new features, and focus on smart and smooth integration of different base station simulators.

SPEAG completed its development of greatly improved head and body tissue simulating liquids for the frequencies from 3500 to 5800 MHz. This new broad-band liquids are within ±5% to the target values and provide significantly improved long-time stability and reduction of the maintenance efforts. Therefore, they lower costs and improve reproducibility of the test results.
iSAR Quad is the largest and highest-resolution iSAR available. iSAR Quad is capable of scanning a 600 mm x 400 mm planar area with a 1 mm resolution, making it well suited for scanning laptops, tablet computers and other large devices.
The Golden Validation Device is a very stable, reliable and easy-to-use calibrated reference source for SAR and OTA measurements. It is a stand-alone device that can be used anywhere without connection to a network. The antenna is well-matched under different loading conditions to provide a reliable output.
Fast SAR measurements are now faster than ever (less than one second). Also, combined SAR evaluation of simultaneous transmitters and new flexibility for comparison of iSAR² measurements with DASY or other iSAR² measurements have been introduced. This further cuts the time spent on quality assurance, prototype evaluation and pre-compliance testing of wireless devices.
SPEAG will be exhibiting at the following conferences and exhibitions this year. If you would like to arrange a demo or meeting, or are interested in attending a technical workshop, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are pleased to announce a new release of DASY52. This release not only resolves reported bugs, but also incorporates important new features that result in reduced measurement time, more flexibility and implementation of new measurement protocols arising from the IEC/IEEE standardization committees. Furthermore, many features have been added for the DASY52NEO users.
