OH4VNA - Optical Head for Vector Network Analyzers

SPEAG’s Optical Head for Vector Network Analyzers (OH4VNA) is a bi-directional radiofrequency-over-fiber system based on our proven optical time-domain sensor technology. OH4VNA facilitates accurate S11 measurements of electrically small antennas and devices and eliminates distortions caused by the radiofrequency measurement cable. The system consists of a miniaturized, fully isolated optical head with exchangeable couplers covering 500 MHz – 6 GHz. As the optical head employs power-over-fiber, it requires no external or battery power. The OH4VNA remote unit acts as the optoelectrical interface to the VNA. Both units are controlled via PC software optimized for S11 measurements and system calibration with the calibration kit included.

An OH4VNA system is composed of an OH4VNA Remote Unit, an optical head (OH), miniature directional coupler modules, a calibration kit, and a PC based software for measurement equipment control and post-processing.
