DASY8 Measurement Server

The DASY8 measurement server establishes the connection between the DASY8 PC and the robot.


EOC8 – Electrical to Optical Converter

The EOC8 supports several functionalities:

  • data exchange between the DAE and the measurement server (optical connector)
  • power supply for DAE4IP, MAGPy-ES... (USB connector)
  • touch/collision detection for applications that do not require a DAE4/DAE4ip/MAGPy-DAS
  • data acquisition based on Ethernet protocol (Ethernet connector)

LB/LBE – Light-Beam Units

Red LED beam-switch (0.5 mm beam width) mounted on the DASY8 platform. Automatic probe tooling in five axes, 0.1 mm measurement accuracy. Allows repeatable probe positions after changing probe (even among probes with different dimensions).

Two versions are available:

  • LB5 with a beam-length of 80 mm
  • LBE with a beam-length of 250 mm (for DASY8 Module R&D only)

QACSV1 – Quick Adapter Change System

The Quick Adapter Change System, which is mounted at the extremity of the robot arm, allows the DAE holder for SAR/PD/HAC measurements to be replaced with the MAPGPy-ES for WPT measurements (or with any other probe holder) in less than 5 s. No tool is required to perform the exchange.



HEXTX2 – Height Extension for Robot Arm

The HEXTX2 is a raiser placed between the DASY8 platform and the robot arm that enables measurements of larger devices for freespace setups when a TX2-60L robot arm (i.e., mmWave) is used.

Not applicable for TX2-90XL robots.



The DASY8 PC should meet the following requirements:

  • Processor: Intel Core i9, Xeon (or AMD equivalent) (8 cores minimum, 10+ cores recommended)
  • Operating system: Windows 10 64-bit Operating System
  • RAM: 32 GB minimum, 64 GB recommended
  • Ports: 3 Ethernet, 4 USB (at least 2 USB 3.0)
  • Hard drive: minimum 500 GB solid state drive (1 TB recommended)
  • Hard drive (data): 1 TB SATA 3.5 in drive (2 TB recommended)
  • Graphics card: NVIDIA graphics card with at least 4 GB of memory and CUDA 10 support
  • Screen: minimum 1920 × 1080 pixels resolution (2560 × 1440 recommended)
