MAGPy3: Next Generation System for WPT Compliance Testing

SPEAG introduces the redesigned MAGPy3 and DASY8/6 Module WPT V3.0, marking a significant leap in performance and adding new features designed to meet evolving customers’ needs.

In 2023, SPEAG launched the second generation of MAGPy2 and DASY8/6 Module WPT V2.0, both of which are fully compatible with the international standard IEC/IEEE 63184. Module WPT V2.8 has recently also been accepted by the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC), enabling users to perform wireless power transfer (WPT) compliance testing without having to file separate NUMSIM Pre-Approval Guidance (PAG) submissions, thanks to the Persistent Inquiry Approval (PIA) granted to SPEAG.

Today, we are proud to introduce MAGPy3, the 3rd generation of SPEAG’s advanced near-field magnetic amplitude and gradient probe system. MAGPy3 includes an upgraded data acquisition and streaming engine, more channels, an enhanced user interface, and new features such as envelope streaming, time averaging, event snapshot, and extraction of pulse parameters. DASY8/6 Module WPT V3.0 offers accelerated scans and parallel processing for induced field reconstruction.

FCC Grants PIA for DASY8/6 Module WPT

DASY8/6 Module WPT is the only solution for compliance testing against basic restrictions without overestimation. Now, the U.S. Federal Communications Commission has granted DASY8/6 users a Persistent Inquiry Approval, authorizing the use of Module WPT V2.8+ for compliance testing with specific absorption rate and maximum permissible exposure limits without a separate NUMSIM PAG submission. The FCC’s approval applies when tests are conducted according to the PIA Inquiry document.
