Automated SAR Reporting with DASY8 Report Assistant

Specific absorption rate (SAR) compliance testing can involve hundreds of measurements across different samples, phantom sections, device positions, communication technologies, frequency bands, channels, and other test parameters. Managing these results and compiling them into final reports can therefore require significant manual effort that creates opportunities for transcription errors.

SPEAG recognizes the need for a more efficient and reliable approach: the new DASY8 Report Assistant (DRA) leverages the DASY8 application programming interface (API) to access measurement data and metadata directly from DASY8 Module SAR project files. The user sets up a report template, and the DRA automatically generates customized Word reports and Excel summary tables, thereby significantly reducing the effort required to collect, organize, and format SAR measurement results, and minimizing manual errors.

To accompany the release, SPEAG has prepared a tutorial video that demonstrates the DRA in practice, from configuring report templates through to the automated generation of SAR reports.

A key advantage of the DRA is its template-based approach. Report templates can be configured once and then reused across subsequent measurement campaigns and different devices, allowing laboratories to establish a consistent reporting workflow while reducing repetitive manual work.

For laboratories that perform complex SAR compliance campaigns, SPEAG’s DRA provides a practical way to reduce reporting effort, improve consistency, and make better use of the measurement data inherently available from DASY8.

The DRA is being released together with DASY8 Module SAR V18.0.2.
