MWF Launched New Antenna Measurement Software in Collaboration with Rohde & Schwarz

Microwave Factory and Rohde & Schwarz developed SAR Rapid Measurement Software for 5G NR SA/NSA/LTE devices using cSAR3D and CMX500.

Microwave Factory (MWF), together with Rohde & Schwarz GmbH & Co. KG (R&S), proudly announces the release of MATEOS: a software solution for high-speed specific absorption rate (SAR) measurements of 5G standalone (SA), 5G non-standalone (NSA), and 4G long-term evolution (LTE) devices. 

MATEOS is third-party software that seamlessly integrates Schmid & Partner Engineering’s (SPEAG) cSAR3D vector array system and R&S’s CMX500 radio communication tester, enabling fast and fully automated SAR measurements. Previously, users had to manually configure and set up the call in CMX500. Now, the entire process can be controlled through a single interface, significantly reducing setup time. MATEOS supports not only LTE (4G) but also 5G NR SA and NSA.

With the addition of CMX500 support, MATEOS further expands its compatibility and gives customers greater flexibility in configuring automated, high-speed SAR measurement workflows. SAR measurements are instrumental for ensuring mobile device compliance with human exposure limits. Providing fast and stable SAR measurements is crucial, making this collaboration extremely important.
