As in previous years, each stop combined face-to-face customer meetings with in-depth technical workshops, offering participants the opportunity to explore the latest technological developments while discussing their own research and engineering challenges directly with the development teams. The program began in Taipei with the Auden TechDay 2026, featuring keynote speeches by Prof. Niels Kuster on precision neurostimulation technologies and by Dr. Sven Kühn on RF-EMF exposure in future mobile and IoT networks. Unfortunately, one of the strongest typhoons to affect the region in recent years made it impossible to hold the Taipei workshop, resulting in its cancellation at very short notice. The program was swiftly reorganized, allowing the workshop series to continue as planned in Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen, where each event attracted excellent attendance and lively discussions.
As in previous years, the workshop series featured two technical tracks. The Wireless Industry workshop, organized by AUDEN and SPEAG, showcased the latest developments in electromagnetic measurement and simulation technologies. Highlights included advances in cSAR3D, the DASY8 platform for SAR, incident power density, absorbed power density, wireless power transfer, and proximity sensor testing, as well as new developments in MAGPy for low-frequency magnetic field assessments. Particular emphasis was placed on the emerging frequency range 3 (FR3) and future 6G technologies, evolving regulatory requirements, engagement with regulators, and the increasing role of automation in compliance testing.
The Medical Industry Workshop, jointly organized for the first time by TUOPUMED and ZMT, focused on the latest advances in computational life sciences. Participants were introduced to the forthcoming Sim4Life V10.0, featuring artificial intelligence (AI-)assisted engineering workflows, a new desktop-web unified user interface (UI), an update on precision neurostimulation, and the latest developments in AI-based patient-specific modeling. The sessions included numerous live demonstrations. In addition, at each location, the sessions featured presentations by invited speakers from industry and academia.
Beyond the technical presentations, the workshops once again provided wide opportunities for networking and informal exchange. Coffee breaks, product demonstrations, and extended Q&A sessions encouraged lively discussions between participants and the Z43 experts. The traditional raffle concluded each event, with participants competing for a variety of popular Swiss prizes – including the highly sought-after AP-Swatch Royal Pop watches, small gold bars, the iconic Freitag bags, and, of course, plenty of Swiss chocolate.
We would like to sincerely thank AUDEN Techno Corp. for once again hosting and organizing this successful workshop series, Dr. Aiping Yao and the TUOPUMED team for their excellent organization and collaboration in the medical sessions, and all participants for their continued enthusiasm and engagement. We are already looking forward to returning next year for the 20th edition of the Workshop Series.
