
DASY8 Module SENS is used for the characterization of wireless devices that make use of sensor-based dynamic power control. The high positional accuracy of the DASY8 robot enables fast and accurate measurements of motion and proximity sensors. In combination with the high temporal resolution of the cSAR3D system, DASY8 Module SENS enables the use of such sensors for characterization of dynamic power control for electromagnetic field (EM) measurement.
DASY8 Module SENS uses the same hardware as DASY83D (DASY8 Module c3D). It is therefore fully compatible for integration with other DASY8 and cSAR3D modules and is available for existing DASY83D systems with only a software upgrade.
The user interface is a Jupyter-Notebook-based application that supports fully automated testing of devices with proximity sensors and motion sensors on cSAR3D for measurement of both static and time-averaged specific absorption rate (SAR). The software records the position of the device under test (DUT) as well as the SAR over time.

The DASY8 Module SENS enables dynamic precision device positioning over the cSAR3D phantoms to obtain position and SAR data over time. In combination with the SAR-measurements by cSAR3D, the system correlates motion and SAR data for the characterization of dynamic power control. The system can be used purely as a positioner to allow for correlation of the motion data over time to custom logs. |
