DASY8/6 Module SAR V17.0: Ready for Any Communication Technology

DASY8/6 Module SAR V17.0 resolves the calibration challenge in terms of time and costs when dealing with the exponentially growing modulation schemes of 5G and beyond.

Simplified SMC Procedure

The new approach implemented in DASY8/6 Module SAR V17.0 extends the Sensor Model Calibration (SMC) method previously developed by SPEAG for calibrating the probe sensor’s equivalent circuit. By deriving linearization parameters numerically from I-Q data, the updated module significantly enhances flexibility while reducing costs, and replaces simulations with artificial intelligence (AI)-based parameter determination, as presented in a recent publication:

Short-Dipole Sensor Response Linearization Through Physics-Informed Neural Networks

Version 17.0 expands the signal database with over 5,000 additional 5G New Radio (NR) and WiFi 7 signals, and advanced users can now add further 5G and even upcoming 6G signals.

Key Features of DASY8/6 Module SAR V17.0

  • 5,000+ New 5G NR and WiFi 7 Signals: The signals correspond to the most common configurations
  • Signal Qualifiers: Each signal is defined by a set of qualifiers, comparable to the settings used in base station simulators and test software
  • Custom Signal Creation: Users can now define any signal, and the linearization parameters will be calculated on the fly
  • Modernized Graphical User Interface: A redesigned signal database interface with advanced search and filtering functions for fast and intuitive access

These features will become available to all DASY8 Modules in the coming weeks.

Additional Enhancements

Module SAR V17.0 also delivers further improvements based on user feedback:

  • Display of Time Averaged Absorbed Power Density (TA-APD): The TA-APD is displayed for measurements above 6 GHz
  • Signal Recognition: the signal detection algorithm using the Modulation and Audio Interference Analyzer (MAIA) has been improved
  • Extended Application Programming Interface (API): New functions have been and fully documented in the updated API tutorial
  • Integrated Download Center: Installers, manuals, and documentation are now directly accessible within Module SAR
  • Updated Post-Processing: The interpolation algorithm has been migrated to a modern framework
  • Simplified Licensing: License files can now be imported directly through the application
