SPEAG provides all of the components and procedures necessary to perform high-precision measurements with DAK-TL2.

DAK-TL2 Calibration Set
The DAK-TL2 calibration set includes thickness gauges that can be used to accurately zero the stage, as well as material reference discs: alumina (ε = 9.75), boron nitride (ε = 4.40), Teflon (ε = 2.07), and Eccostock (ε = 2.54). One edge of the boron nitride sample is truncated to distinguish it from the alumina sample. The thickness gauge most similar to the sample thickness should be selected for zeroing the DAK-TL2 Base System; this practice is especially recommended for samples of <0.8 mm thickness. Thickness error contributes substantially to the overall measurement uncertainty, especially for thin samples. |

Stand for VNA
The vector network analyzer (VNA) is placed on top of the stand to minimize bending of the cable that connects the DAK-TL2 beam to the VNA port. The use of this platform is especially critical for high-frequency measurements where high-end cables are shorter and more sensitive to bending. |
Metal Shorting Plate |
The high quality mirror-polished stainless steel shorting plate is brought into contact with the probe by clicking on Close button in the Base Unit controller. The state-of-the-art platform mechanics of DAK-TL2 ensures that the short circuit measurements are of good quality and are repeatable. |

Metal Petri-Dish with Top Plate for Liquid Measurement
Measurements of liquid or soft solid samples (e.g., biological tissue) can also be performed with the sample contained in metal petri dishes provided (non-metallic petri dishes cannot be used). For measurements of liquid samples, first the lossy platform must be replaced with the black aluminium platform, on which is placed a clean and dry petri dish of appropriate size. |
