SPEAG provides all DAK-TL2 components and procedures necessary for high-precision measurements.
DAK-TL2 Calibration Set |
The DAK-TL2 calibration set comprises a set of thickness gauges that can be used to accurately zero the stage, as well as alumina (ε= 9,75), boron nitride (0 = 4,40), Teflon (ε= 2,07), and Eccostock (ε= 2,54) reference discs. The boron nitride sample has one truncated edge to distinguish it from the alumina sample. The gauge blocks of thickness nearest to the sample thickness can be used for zeroing the DAK-TL2 Base System. This is especially recommended for samples of <0.8 mm thickness, as the thickness error can contribute substantially to the overall measurement uncertainty for thin samples. |
Stand for VNA |
The vector network analyzer (VNA) is placed on top of the stand to minimize bending of the cable that connects the DAK-TL2 beam to the VNA port. The use of this platform is especially critical for high-frequency measurements where high-end cables are shorter and more sensitive to bending. |
Metal Shorting Plate |
High quality mirror polished stainless steel shorting plate brought into contact with the probe by clicking on Close button in the Base Unit controller. State of the art platform mechanics ensure the good quality and repeatability of short circuit measurements in DAK-TL2. |
Metal Petri-Dish and Top Plate for Liquid Measurement |
Measurements of liquid or soft solid samples (e.g., biological tissue) can also be performed with the metal dishes provided for liquids. The sample must be backed by metal; non-metallic dishes cannot be used. For measurements of liquid samples, first the lossy platform must be replaced with the black aluminium one, next a clean and dry petri-dish of appropriate size is placed on the platform. |
