Smart watches seem all at once to be everywhere, raising tremendous demand for new methods to test the influence of the presence of the forearm on smart watch RF performance. SPEAG is proud to announce the release of our new Hand-Forearm Phantom for wrist-mounted devices V2 (SHO-FPWV2), designed to meet the requirements for test configurations with smart watches and other handheld and forearm-mounted transmitters/receivers.
The anthropomorphically shaped Hand-Forearm Phantom consists of an outer part – manufactured from a silicone- and carbon-based mixture with target parameters according to CTIA V3.2.1 – and an inner carbon tube to simulate bone. The bone-mimicking structure, which provides extra stability to the phantom, is equipped with a mountable interface compatible with our standard turntable adaptor (ETS and others).
The Hand-Forearm Phantom is designed for use with all of our right and left hand phantoms (SHO-V2), as well as custom-made hand phantoms.
