ANSI/AAMI PC69 (2007) Implant EMC Dipoles (450 – 3000 MHz)

ANSI/AAMI PC69 (2007) Implant EMC Dipoles (450 – 3000 MHz)

A set of new dipoles has been developed and optimized for electromagnetic compatibility testing of active implantable medical devices according to ANSI/AAMI PC69-2007. The design of these new dipoles for hand-held operation over a torso simulator tank is optimized for resonance at a distance of 20 mm above the phantom filled with a saline solution. The fully symmetric geometry, with a return loss of >14 dB for a bandwidth of >5.6%, is obtained with a quarter wave balun supported with an inherent dual-stage-matching network. Up to 10 watts can be fed to the SMA connector at the far end, which allows safe operation with a straight RF cable for hand-held scanning of the tested device.

The set of 8 dipoles covers the full frequency range for all 13 specified standard frequencies, and is delivered in a ruggedized transportation box. A compliance certificate is included for each dipole, showing the return loss and the magnetic field distribution in the measurement position.

For detailed specifications see the product page.
