SPEAG today announces the release of DASY8 Module SENS V2.0, the next evolution in automated testing of proximity sensors. Designed for engineers and compliance testing facilities, this update delivers critical enhancements that streamline testing workflows, expand measurement capabilities, and reduce manual effort – enabling faster, more accurate, and fully automated characterization of proximity sensors across diverse device geometries, materials, and use cases.
New Features and Enhancements
Sensing from Torso to Fingers: With Module SENS V2.0, SPEAG provides additional physical phantoms from the torso to the fingers as well as simulations of standardized phantoms, e.g., DASY’s ELI phantom enabling, for the first time, precise evaluation of how sensor performance varies with position and phantom material composition and shape. Additionally, Module SENS V2.0 enables advanced measurements – such as multi-sensor-fusion setups, coverage area mapping, and blind-spot detection – essential for next-gen device validation and making Module SENS V2.0 a valuable tool not only for compliance testing but also for sensor research and development.
Support for Custom Phantoms: Module SENS V2.0 allows users to define custom phantom geometries and materials for sensor testing.
Tilt Measurement with DASY8 Module SENS V2.0. The trigger distance of a proximity sensor is automatically mapped for angles between -40 and 40 degrees.
Sensor testing on a finger phantom. Measurements taken at various offset positions generate a 2D map of trigger distance to identify potential blind spots of the proximity sensor.
Alongside the DASY8 Module SENS V2.0 release, SPEAG has also released cSAR3D V5.10.8, a maintenance and performance update for its widely used SAR measurement solution.
