REMOTE UNIT STANDALONE

TDS Standalone Remote Units

The TDS Remote Unit is a standalone device that acts as the optical power supply for our TDS probes in the power-over-fiber forward link. In the radiofrequency (RF) over fiber reverse link, the TDS Remote Unit converts the optical probe signal to an electrical RF signal equivalent to the electric or magnetic fields sensed at the tip of the TDS probe.

SPEAG offers single-channel remote units (1RU1TDS) for use with single-channel TDS probes. For future applications with multi-channel TDS probes, our remote units are available with an upgrade option (3RU1TDS) that allows support of up to three probe channels.
