Phantom Package for SENS V1 

The PP4SENSV1 has been designed for proximity sensor testing using DASY8 Module SENS with different geometries and materials. It consists of the following phantoms

  • ELI4SENSV1: The Phantom Shell ELI for SENS V1 is a 254x160x85 mm phantom shell to be used in combination SPEAG liquids. It offers the same dielectric conditions as those in SAR testing with the ELI phantom. The phantom has the same 2 mm fiberglass-reinforced vinyl-ester front plate of the ELI phantom.
  • LSB4SENSV1: The Lossy Silicone Block for SENS V1 is a 254 × 185 × 81 mm phantom that mimics the dielectric properties of large human body regions such as the head, chest, and abdomen. Its silicone-carbon material meets CTIA requirements from 3–6 GHz, while a low-loss surface coating replicates the stratum corneum, providing a realistic two-layer skin model up to well above 6 GHz.
  • GFP4SENSV1: The Generic Finger Phantom for SENS V1 is a generic finger phantom with a length of 75mm and a diameter of 14mm, mimicking the dielectric parameters of the human body. It made from the same lossy silicone-carbon-based mixture and low-loss coating as the LSB4SENSV1.

In combination with the positioning frame PF4SENSV1, which is also part of the package, the phantoms can be placed on the cSAR3D Flat phantom with 0.2 mm positioning repeatability.

Application

Proximity sensor testing with DASY8 Module SENS

Standard Compatibility

PPSENSV1 is compatible for proximity sensor testing according to:

  • IEC TR 63424-1
  • IEC/IEEE 62209-1528

LSB4SENSV1 and GFP4SENSV1 are compliant with the CTIA certification standard "Test Plan for Wireless Device Over-the-Air Performance" for all defined test frequencies from 3 – 6 GHz range

Materials

ELI4SENSV1: Vinyl ester, fiberglass reinforced (VE-GF)

LSB4SENSV1, GFP4SENSV1: silicone-carbon-based mixture (color: Black) with a low-loss silicone coating

Liquid Compatibility

ELI4SENSV1 is compatible with SPEAG's tissue simulating liquids (sugar and oil based). Use of other liquids may render the phantom warranty void (see note or consult SPEAG support).
