The Time-Domain-Sensor (TDS) is the basis of our novel product line of high-performance active optical radio-frequency field sensor systems. The TDS concept allows the measurement of the full complex vectorial EM field distribution (amplitude and phase) in the time and frequency domains. First TDS probes for E- and H-field measurements in the 10MHz to 6GHz frequency range will become available in the next quarter.

iSAR Quad is officially released! iSAR Quad is the largest and highest-resolution iSAR available. iSAR Quad is well suited for scanning laptops, tablet computers and other large devices. It also improves the precision for SAR evaluations of devices operating above 3 GHz. We provide an upgrade option from iSAR Flat to iSAR Quad.

DASY52 Software Release V6.2

The DASY team is pleased to announce the release of DASY52 V6.2 (482) and SEMCAD-X V14.4.5 (3634). We recommend the immediate installation of this upgrade as it addresses reported bugs and various minor requests/ suggestions by our customers.

This new broad-band liquids are within ±5% to the target values and provide significantly improved long-time stability and reduction of the maintenance efforts. Therefore, they lower costs and improve reproducibility of the test results.

iSAR Quad pre-release

iSAR Quad is the largest and highest-resolution iSAR available. iSAR Quad is capable of scanning a 600 mm x 400 mm planar area with a 1 mm resolution, making it well suited for scanning laptops, tablet computers and other large devices. 

Golden Validation Device

The Golden Validation Device is a very stable, reliable and easy-to-use calibrated reference source for SAR and OTA measurements. It is a stand-alone device that can be used anywhere without connection to a network. The antenna is well-matched under different loading conditions to provide a reliable output.

iSAR² V2.3 Software Release

Fast SAR measurements are now faster than ever (less than one second).  Also, combined SAR evaluation of simultaneous transmitters and new flexibility for comparison of iSAR² measurements with DASY or other iSAR² measurements have been introduced. This further cuts the time spent on quality assurance, prototype evaluation and pre-compliance testing of wireless devices.

We are pleased to announce a new release of DASY52. This release not only resolves reported bugs, but also incorporates important new features that result in reduced measurement time, more flexibility and implementation of new measurement protocols arising from the IEC/IEEE standardization committees. iSAR² V2.2 Software Release

We have released iSAR² software version 2.2. New features include remote control of the iSAR² using customer-specific programs, enhanced graphical information of the iSAR² operation, and full compatibility with Windows 7 and Windows XP in 32-bit and 64-bit versions.

New Product: DC/ELF Magnet Field Probe (DASY52NEO Compatible)

SPEAG started to integrate 3rd-Party Probes for our DASY52 NEO systems. The first probes are the 3-axis hall field probe series from MetroLab that enpower DASY52NEO to scan DC/ELF magnetic fields with high precision. 

New Product: MEM (Membran) Phantom

The new MEM Phantom was desgined and optimized for compliance testing of wireless devices and other electromagnetic emmitting devices that may be partially surrounded by tissue or in direct contact with the skin, e.g., wireless hands-free kits, hearing aids, skin mounted devices, inductive activators, etc.

SPEAG is introducing the CRANE for iSAR². CRANE enables testing of wireless devices on the iSAR² Flat or Head with headsets or data cables attached.

New Product: Broad-Band Liquids for new IEC/IEEE standards

SPEAG introduces a new series of tissue simulating liquids that are broad-band based on the environmental friendlier Tween ingredient and fully compliant with the new IEC/IEEE standards allowing ±10% tolerance on the liquid parameters.

New Product: PRE - 10

This new product PRE - 10 is a 3 channel voltage divider which extends the operation of existing SPEAG probes for use in very high fields (> 5 kV/m; > 10 kW/kg). It is compatible with all our E-Field, H-field and SAR probes.

ISO 17025 Calibration of Dielectric Probes (OCP) now available

Our calibration laboratory has successfully established the capability for calibration of open-ended coaxial probes (OCP).

EASY4 V4.6 New release

The new EASY4 software release V4.6 extends the usage to fields with large peak-to-average (PAR) ratios by adaption to the improved probe modulation signal calibration and also includes setting of Access Levels. The changes to the user interface are minimal and old setup and calibration files are still compatible with this version.

iSAR² V2.1 Software Release

A new iSAR2 software release is now available. This release is the result of the popularity of our ultra-fast SAR scanners (iSAR Head and iSAR Flat) and great suggestions from our customers. Version 2.1 of the iSAR software has several new features, including a new multi-iSAR interface, a smart Combiner feature, and full extension of the software for frequencies up to 6 GHz. It also includes enhancements to our existing features, such as an improved Python interface and enhanced control of the CMU200.

Final Release DASY52

The final release of DASY52 is a major upgrade representing the next leap in quality compliance testing of mobile phones and general near-field evaluations. The main new improvements are in the new GUI, Report Generator, Ultra-Fast SAR Procedures, and Advanced Probe Response Linearization.  Many more features that make the system compatible with the revised standards are expected to be released by the end of the year.

Successful CTIA Audits of SPEAG Head and Hand Phantoms

SPEAG OTA phantoms with accessories were successfully tested during first CTIA V3-0 audits at ETS Lindgren, Austin on October 1st and Qualcomm, San Diego on October 9th.

iSAR² Calibration is ISO/IEC 17025 Accredited

Schmid & Partner Engineering AG (SPEAG) is now accredited for iSAR calibration to the rigorous ISO/IEC 17025 quality standards. ISO/IEC 17025 is a laboratory quality standard that is widely recognized internationally. The addition of iSAR calibration to the SPEAG quality system provides a large portfolio of products for which SPEAG provides accredited calibration.

iSAR² V2.0 Release

During the last 12 months we have completely redesigned the iSAR GUI and added many new functions. The iSAR software V2.0 is now released to all of our customers free of charge.
