Vector network analyzers (VNA) (2 or more ports) are used in transmission mode to measure the S21 between the ports of the OH4VNA remote unit. The OH4VNA software together with the OSL calibration at the optical head is then used to convert the S21 measurement in the S11 measured at the optical head. Our solutions offer flexibility in your choice of VNA.
Please note: OH4VNA ports have an impedance of 50 Ω. To ensure compatibility, the VNA must also have 50 Ω line impedance at the output port. Please also note that OH4VNA in some cases can only be operated with GPIB-USB adapter; some older Agilent ENA or PNA models have a LAN interface, which is incompatible with VISA standards and, therefore, OH4VNA.
