This precision dielectric measurement system is designed for applications in the 4 MHz – 3 GHz frequency range. Our novel algorithms combined with precise calibration enables correction for electrode polarization and extension of the lower end of the frequency range from 50 MHz down to 4 MHz. The system uses an open-ended coaxial probe with advanced algorithms and novel hardware to measure the dielectric properties of liquids, solids, and semi-solids over a broad range of parameters. The measurement method is fast and non-destructive to the material under test.

Applications
  • Characterization of materials for the electronics, chemical, food, and medical industries, including human tissues.
  • Measurement of complex permittivity of tissue simulating liquids for MRI safety of patients with active implantable medical devices (AIMDs).
