DAKS – Dielectric Measurements Have Never Been So Easy

SPEAG is delighted to announce the release of its latest innovation: a low-cost, portable, and easy-to-use Dielectric Assessment Kit System (DAKS) covering the frequency range between 200 MHz – 14 GHz.

DAKS combines our DAK-3.5 technology with a miniature portable Vector Reflectometer (R140, Copper Mountain Technologies). The direct and rigid connection of the probe to the reflectometer allows the probe to be moved to the media under test after calibration, greatly simplifying measurements in the lab. The Reflectometer R140 communicates directly with the DAKS software via a USB port. Offering good accuracy, it is especially recommended for Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) compliance laboratories as the tissue simulating liquids can be measured directly and routinely inside the phantom. The next DASY software release will include the appropriate user interface.
