DASY8/6 Module WPT V2.0: Enhanced and Fast WPT Compliance Testing
SPEAG released DASY8/6 Module WPT V2.0, which integrates the new MAGPy Version 2 with the DASY8/6 system and provides 8-times faster, more accurate, and total field (magnetic and electric field) compliance testing of sources emitting any periodic signals (<10 MHz) against the basic restrictions.
The latest version of our DASY8/6 Module WPT, V2.0, is now based on MAGPy Version 2 and takes full advantage of this stand-alone product. Evaluating wireless power transfer (WPT) systems has never been so quick and easy with maximum precision:
8× faster measurements, as the new probes allow assessment of the eight isotropic magnetic (H-)field probes (23 sensors plus phase) at each robot position;
Simultaneous measurement of the incident electric (E-)field with its integrated isotropic E-field sensor;
Evaluation of periodic signals with non-sinusoidal waveforms and duty cycles;
Evaluation of all basic restriction quantities, now also including the local non-averaged induced E-field required by ISED;
Conversion of the measured H-field distribution into a Maxwell field and calculation of the fields in the standardized phantom without loss of precision (Tier 4 of IEC 63184);
Conservative estimation of the fields induced in the tissue by the incident E-field according to Christ et al. (Bioelectromagnetics, 43(7), 2022).
This user video shows how the MAGPy Version 2 probe, integrated with DASY8/6 Module WPT V2.0, is used to determine compliance for wireless power transfer devices.
Another important advantage is the dual use of the MAGPy system as a hand-held system (MAGPy Version 2) and as part of Module WPT (DASY8/6 Module WPT V2.0), as customers only need to buy and calibrate one device.

Twenty IT'IS Foundation, SPEAG, and ZMT co-workers convened for two-day retreat, 01 – 02 February 2016, held at the Hotel Frutt Lodge & SPA, in Melchsee-Frutt, Canton Obwalden. The goal of the retreat was to learn how to spot trends and become a trend setter, to master sales, to assess the current status of the organization, and to establish measures for improvement.
This year’s party of Z43 (IT'IS Foundation, SPEAG, ZMT) was held at trendy Art Dock, located in the former freight terminal between Zurich’s Hardbrücke and Central train stations.
Thursday, November 12 was 2015 Future Day at Z43, and six engaged and curious youngsters spent the day visiting our team at IT’IS, SPEAG, and ZMT laboratories.
On the basis of careful investigation of used hand phantoms that have been returned to our labs, SPEAG strongly recommends recertification of all SHO hand phantoms after at most 3 years of use or in the case of any visible damage.
SPEAG is pleased to announce the release of our latest portable dielectric measurement system, the DAKS-12, which combines SPEAG’s DAK-12 probe with a handheld single-port ShockLine MS46121A vector network analyzer from Anritsu. The easy-to-use DAKS-12 is designed for very robust dielectric measurements in the frequency range of 10 MHz – 3 GHz.
ZMT Zurich MedTech AG and SPEAG hosted the annual Hardware and Software Workshop in Korea on October 23, 2015, with Dymstec, SPEAG’s distribution partner in Korea, as the local organizers of this popular event. Approximately 200 participants attended the workshop to preview ZMT’s and SPEAG’s latest innovations and product updates and to learn about the roadmap for future technological advances in 2015 and beyond.
SPEAG continues to advance the state of the art for precise and fast SAR measurement with the release of cSAR3D V2-4. The implementation of new calibration techniques and reconstruction algorithms has significantly improved the measurement accuracy. Modulation analysis and standards-compatible fast SAR protocols are also new in this release.
In response to numerous customer requests, SPEAG has developed the DAK Verification Kit for quick and easy verification of the Dielectric Assessment Kit system. The characterized liquid in the Verification Kit will be measured and compared to the imported target data after system calibration, ensuring reliable performance and results.
