Supported OS --------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Windows XP 32 bit and 64 bit - Windows 7 32 bit and 64 bit - Windows VISTA is not an officially supported platform, but can be used (forum.semcad.com) SEMCAD X v14.4 uses Acceleware's Baganuur library version 10.0.2. Please get the latest NVIDIA driver for your hardware from the NVIDIA website: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us Please note that only CUDA capabable hardware is supported by Acceleware from this release forward. This means that all hardware earlier (and including) the A20/D20/Q20 series cannot be used for acceleration. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3. Enhancements --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.1. Modeling - Updated ACIS to R21 SP1 - Added an option to mirror an imported model, when imported as a voxel model. This option is available in the voxel import dialog and mirrors the model along the z-axis - When importing Pro/E and other formats, the parts are organized automatically into hierarchies of groups - In all properties, simple expressions are immediately evaluated (e.g. 300/2 or 10+5). 3.2. EM Simulation - Implemented enhanced source signals (e.g. sech function) - Unified excitation signals between SW and aXware and across excitation types: slight changes of results for edge and waveguide sources for Gaussian and user-defined signals. Harmonic ramp function has changed to aXware's native one. - Added Global Simulation Setting for autostop threshold - User Defined excitation signals can be also defined using equations - Added Autostop functionality to Point Sensors - Implemented normalization for point sensors 3.3. LF Solver 3.4. Thermal Simulation - New Thermal info sensor - Support for relative path search for EM sources-files in T simulations - Extension max simulation time (request by customer) - Extended python interface for thermal solver (for customer) - Update of property windows of thermal and field optimizer due to new smart property replacement -> fast display - Overfall flow boundary expression - Change mesh file format - Mesh marker support 3.5. Post Processing - VTK tools are available to be installed as a component to be used in the SEMCAD post processor and Python scripting environment - MUSAIK coil design and analysis tool is included in SEMCAD - Added numerous Matlab exports to the Post Processor - New atlas coordinates were included for the Talairach tool - PointSensor: H(t) is shifted by half a time step to its staggered time location. Therefore, H(f) is also phase shifted slightly (0.5dt / T). - Added tool to estimate a volume with a temperature above certain point - Extended Diversity Tool to support multiple template scheme as multiport tool 3.6 Python Scripting - Added Python API Browser, which allows to browse SEMCAD Python modules. The script editor offers an automatic dynamic help based on what is being typed. - InitReal sets datafield to zero - extended python interface for thermal solver (for customer) --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4. Bugs Fixed Since Last Release --------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Fixed backward compatibility bug in PostPro (corrupted material list) introduced in 14.2.3 - LFSolver: solved issue for large simulations with 'memory overlap' error message producing wrong results - Changed harmonic ramp function solves the DC offset problem observed in Huygens and plane wave aXware excitations - Fixed bug introduced in 14.2.3 where double-click did not edit the name of a solid in the modeler - Fixed Atlas brain, limits were innacurate - Subfolders(group) in modeler tree were duplicated after cloning - Optimizer fixed to work with LF simulations - Fixed Edit Triangle Mesh - Line Extract dialog did not have enough digits for resolution - Fixed Multiport tool error when sources have the same name - Fixed memory leaks calculating SAR - LFSolver: upgraded to iterative solver library PETSc to 3.1.0.4 solving 'memory overlap' (case 3758) --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5.
