This file contains instructions to install cDASY6 V6.8.0.14623
 on DASY6 systems.


IMPORTANT:

We kindly recommend to carefully follow the steps described within this ReadMe 
file in order to achieve a smooth and successful installation of all software 
components.


The "cDASY6 Installer" from the download site
https://www.speag.com/downloads/dasy6/dasy6-download/
contains the latest software.

NOTE:
It is not necessary to uninstall any older versions of cDASY6. This installer 
provides a complete new installation of cDASY6 and installs it onto the local 
harddisk into a separate directory.

STEP 1: cDASY6 software installation
The software version number can be verified in the Help / About menu. 
The version will be called V6.8.0.14623 after a successful installation

STEP 2: cDASY6 settings folder 
The C:\Users\Public\Documents\Speag\DASY\cDASY6\6.6 folder must be backup and renamed 6.8

STEP 3: Robot / Measurement Server software upgrade
The robot / measurement server software version numbers can be verified in the Robot drop down menu of the cDASY6 software. 
If the actual and expected versions differ, please perform an upgrade as described in the Server Upgrade 
cDASY6 folder contained in the cDASY6 V6.8 installation folder.

STEP 4: Phantom configuration files
The phantom files have been updated to increase software flexibility, therefore they must be imported again. 
For this, go to Application Preferences >> Inventory and delete the existing phantom files. 
Then import the updated ones from C:\Users\Public\Documents\Speag\DASY\cDASY6\Inventory\Phantoms. The files compatible with V6.6 have .cf68 as extension. The older .cf6 and .cf66 files can't be used anymore. 

STEP 5: Dummy probe configuration file
The dummy probe configuration file has been updated and must be imported again. For this, go to Application Preferences >> Inventory and delete the existing dummy probe. Then, import the updated one from C:\Users\Public\Documents\Speag\DASY\cDASY6\Inventory\Probes
